JABIRU CARAVAN & RV CLUB Inc established in 2014, is a group of adults (over 18) who enjoy camping life experiences and the camaraderie that exists amongst caravanners.
We are a pet friendly, low cost club, based in Brisbane, although we have members south of the Qld border to the top end of the Sunshine Coast and west to Toowoomba. It is where you meet up and get together that is important. Rallies are held within a 250km from Brisbane with a tag along at times organised after a rally.
We meet mostly on the 3rd weekend of each month for a rally at a pre-determined site, (in Showgrounds or campgrounds) which runs from Wednesday to the following Monday or any day in between, with the main day being Saturday. At our rallies you can expect fun, organised activities and learning experiences, or you can just come along and relax.
Some activities include:
- A mixed variety of evening social events
- Partaking in a tour/tag along to local places of interest
- Telling ‘tales’ around a campfire
- Extended ad-hoc travel
- Board games
- Camp fire cooking
- General social interaction.
Guests are encouraged to come along to rallies to meet and socialise. All have varying degrees of experience and can give valuable assistance and many hints of caravanning life.
We are an affiliated member of the Caravan Clubs of Queensland Inc. and are invited to attend State and National Rallies. Many friends all over Australia have been made by those attending these events.
